| 1970 | L. G. Clarke - new head 1970. Comment from Anthony Smith: Mr Clarke (Neddy to some of his students) superseded Jo Watthey as headmaster in 1970 having joined the school from Beauchamp School, Oadby (Head of Maths there) as deputy head in 1968. Apparently quite a rare occurrence at the time for such an internal promotion. | Keighlian |

| Message from Revd. A.E. (Joe) Watthey |
| 2004 | I would like to pass on my best wishes to everyone at KBGS/Keighley School/Oakbank Grammar with whom I worked over the twelve years. I smiled at some of the (thankfully exaggerated) stories in the Forum; sometimes I think I was confused with my contemporary Jimmy Edwards in "Whacko". Fortunately, such episodes were few and far between. There were also some touching tributes for which I am grateful. Looking back they were wonderful times in a relatively easy to manage school, with enthusiastic hard working students, and a loyal staff. Now I grow old gracefully with Peter and his wife Hilary, and you are all still in my thoughts, if not fully retrievable from my feeble memory! I hope the website continues to blossom. | Peter Watthey |
