Attached is a photo of the 1947/8 Under 14 Rugby XV which was passed to me for scanning by David Webster who appears on the photo and still lives on the outskirts of Keighley.

The team is as follows:-

Back row: Derek Bates, ? Beaumont, Malcolm Sharpe, David Webster, Roy Tetley, Keith Watkinson, Trevor Driver and ? Briggs.

Front row: Tim Barrett, David Seeley, David Hollins, Neil Caley, Raymond Tanner, Brian Pugh, Jack Martin and ? Dransfield.

David Webster tells me that on the day of the photograph, Neil Caley, the captain, turned up without his boots and as he had to sit on the front row, he had to borrow David's boots for the 'shoot'. If you look at the photo carefully, behind Neil's legs, you can see a pair of white stockinged feet belonging to David Webster!! The master in charge of the team, Mr. Fletcher, gave a 'ticking off' to both David Hollins and 'yours truly' for not having our stockings fully pulled up!
