Alderman Mosey got a few things wrong with this  picture. The match was played on Founders Day 1959 at the end of Watthey's first year as Head. Mosey's brother, Stuart, was captain of the Old Boys, not school captain.

The photo shows:

Standing: Anthony Durham(s); Don Mosey(ob);  Barry Calvert(ob); David (Codge) Collen (s); Eric Harris; Don Chadwick; Clive Snowden; (ob); Frank Wellock (coach); Bill Midgley(ump);Nipper Pennington; John Jackson; ? ;?; (ob); Malcolm (Arthur) Bailey(s).

Seated: Barry (Beezum) Whittingham (S –cricket capt); George Cadman ( former deputy head and Umpire for the day);Stuart Mosey (ob-Capt ); Joe Watthey;  ?;

On the deck: Terry (Marzy) Marston; Trevor Gunning; Ross Uttley; Eddie Bracewell; ? Bannister; John Waddington; John Gardner (s)  (ob= Old Boy; s = school)

I seem to recall the Old Boys won by 9 wickets
